Expert insight in 30 Minutes: Book Your Technical Deep-Dive

Our products - March 3, 2026

Saft is expanding its digital toolbox for IoT developers with the launch of Book Your Technical Deep-Dive.

Available through Saft4U, Book Your Technical Deep-Dive allows you to schedule a free 30-minute session with a specialist engineer. These tailored learning sessions explore key battery topics in greater depth, aligned to a specific application or development challenge.

Topics that are available to request include:

  • Battery Basics
  • Safety
  • Transportation
  • Specific cell chemistries (e.g., Li-SOCl₂, Li-MnO₂, Li-Ion)

However, you also have the flexibility to request additional subjects. So, if you want to better understand electronics integration, cell configuration, or another technical aspect linked to your design, the session can be adapted accordingly.

For start-ups building their first connected device, or established organisations entering new territory, having direct access to expert insight can significantly reduce uncertainty and accelerate decision-making.

“We’ve really got a range of tools now to help at all stages of the early design process,” says Isabelle Sourmey, Business Applications Manager in Saft’s Connected Smart Energy Division.

“First, customers can use the Smart Selector to check how viable their project is and explore the possible battery solutions. Then, with Book Your Technical Deep-Dive, we offer customers the opportunity to tap directly into Saft’s expertise, ask detailed questions, and gain contextual guidance tailored to their product and operating environment.”

The result is a powerful combination easy-to-use product guidance and real-time dialogue with the expert engineers who understand the nuances of battery performance in IoT applications.

In addition to this new interactive tool, Saft provides advanced services including its Meter Life Analysis service, the Cell Prototyping Service, and LiSa - the world’s first predictive service capable of estimating the remaining life of a primary lithium battery powering an IoT device.

Together, these resources ensure customers can access Saft’s technical know-how at every stage of their design journey, from early concept through to operational optimization.

And watch this space! We’ve another exciting announcement for IoT developers coming later this week as we launch our Online PSR – a tool that guides users step-by-step through defining their application’s energy and power needs when their electronic design is finalized.
